Signature Holes

One of the standout holes is the par-3 16th, a picturesque short hole framed by water and natural surroundings. Club selection is crucial here, with wind and pin placement adding to the challenge.  The 16th is where Tommy Fleetwood hit his first hole-in-one

The course also features memorable risk-and-reward opportunities, including challenging par 5s where bold play can be rewarded—but punished if accuracy is lacking.

Tournament Heritage

The Old Course has a proven championship pedigree, having hosted events on the European Seniors Tour, Challenge Tour, and EuroPro Tour. Tommy Fleetwood, who grew up playing at Formby Hall, secured a significant early professional win there by winning the 2011 PGA EuroPro Tour's Formby Hall Classic.

This professional heritage is reflected in the course design, conditioning, and overall playing experience—giving every golfer the chance to play a tour-quality venue.
