We take time to understand each individual guest’s needs and expectations, matching you to the right room, anticipating what will make a difference to your stay and discussing your requirements before arrival.

We have 6 disabled parking bays and a level entrance through automatic doors to the main reception hall. There is level access to one floor of bedrooms down a corridor to the left of the main entrance.

The Restaurant, Bar and Coffee Lounge are all on the ground floor with Function Rooms on the first floor accessible via stairs or lift.

The Formby Hall Site

Formby Hall is a 76 bedroom resort with hotel, golf courses, restaurant, bar and spa facilities.

Set in 200 acres of parkland, the sophisticated Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa offers 76 individually designed contemporary bedrooms, a luxurious spa and outstanding leisure facilities. The rooms are generous in terms of space allocation, width of doorways and facilities, which helps with overall accessibility.

During the booking process we endeavour to understand individual guests’ needs in order to provide any assistance when needed.

 

Parking

On-site parking is available for any guest who arrives by car. There are two parking spaces designated for disabled access close to the main entrance. There are a further 4 spaces close to the main entrance. If you require assistance with luggage, equipment or guidance our Reception is staffed 24hrs a day.

Main Entrance and Reception

Arriving through the automatic doors into the reception hall, a movement sensor will alert the reception team of an arrival. The reception desk is located to the left of the main entrance. All bars and restaurant areas are located to the right of the main entrance.

The floor surface in reception is mainly marble tiles with a few small carpeted areas. There is level access to one floor of bedrooms down a corridor to the left of the main entrance. The lift is accessed through the reception hall and provides access to the first floor bedrooms, conference rooms and Diplomat Function Suite.

 

Lifts and Corridors

Resort lifts include a full height-operating console, an adjustable buzzer indicates operation to persons with impaired vision, tactile (raised legend) pushes. Lifts provide access to the majority of the resort.

All corridors are at least 1650mm wide. There are no internal steps or ramped areas in the corridors. All stairways in the hotel are carpeted and have a contrasting colour to mark the edge.

 

Toilets in Public Areas

There are several sets of public toilets, one (ladies) adjacent to reception and others are adjacent to The Fairway Grill Restaurant & Bar, there is a unisex accessible toilet adjacent to the cocktail lounge with the following facilities:

There are drop down rails on the other side of the toilet

There is an additional accessible toilet outside of the Diplomat Suite.

To ensure comfort and ease to our guests we have adapted some of our rooms with accessibility features, they are as follows;

The Fairway Grill Restaurant & Bar and Cocktail Lounges

Bar service is offered as table service to all areas of the Hotel and our team of hosts are on hand at all times to take orders and deliver drinks. Guests in wheelchairs can access all food and beverage areas to relax with a drink before or after dinner.

The reception area and Gin Bar has a level marble tile floor and The Fairway Bar & Grill Restaurant is part carpet and part wooden floor.

The Bar area is all on one level, mainly being carpeted. Our team of hosts are on hand to make personal recommendations and deliver drinks to tables where required. There is also an external terrace which is level and has a laid brick floor.

All areas benefit from an abundance of natural light with (most large windows taking in the view over the golf course) the exception is the Tommy Fleetwood Lounge which has less natural light. At night the Fairway Bar & Grill have low level lighting whilst the Bar is brighter.

Staff are available to take you through the menu and handle any questions you have. Full allergen information is available on request.

Lighting is mainly natural during the day as 2 sides of the Fairway Restaurant are glazed with views over the golf course. At night the lighting is low level, however some tables have more light and can be reserved on request.

We are able to cater for varying dietary needs, please advise on booking. We can also vary any dishes on the menu to suit as all food is cooked to order.
