Golf
With an 18-hole Championship Old Course, 9-hole Woodhey Dunes Course and a PGA Academy, Formby Hall is perfect for both the seasoned expert, or beginners. Our Golf Concierge is an expert on England’s Golf Coast and can arrange a bespoke itinerary to include the neighbouring Royal Courses. Woodhey Dunes is also ideal for families.
Spa
Formby Hall Spa offers an extensive choice of massage therapy, body and facial treatments. Enjoy time in the Indoor Pool, Spa Pool and Thermal Suites (including a Sauna, Steam Room, Laconium Cabin, Rasul and Experience Showers).
Health Club
We offer an extensive Fitness Class Timetable, with over 40 classes each week, including Yoga, Les Mills and Body Conditioning. There is also an extensive Gym, featuring state of the art Technogym equipment. Our 20m Indoor Pool, Spa Pool and Thermal Suites (including a Sauna, Steam Room, Laconium Cabin, Rasul and Experience Showers), ensures the perfect wellbeing experience.
Dining
Start the day with a hearty Breakfast. Our Chefs then prepare succulent grills and seasonal dining in the Fairway Restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Indulge with an Afternoon Tea and enjoy hand crafted cocktails and our extensive Gin collection in the Fairway Bar & Terrace, overlooking the picturesque 18th Hole.

Here at Formby Hall we understand that a stay away from home can be extremely exciting for our little guests. It is one of our top priorities to ensure that they have the best experience and create amazing memories that will last a lifetime. Roary the Lion’s Scavenger Hunt
Formby Hall’s Mascot, Roary the Lion, has put together a list of items that he needs you to help him find! Search the hotel reception, bar and terrace to find the items on Roary’s Scavenger Hunt List. Once you have found all of his items and ticked all of your checklist, hand your completed scavenger hunt into reception to receive your prize!
Biking
We offer bikes for hire, so you can explore the local beaches and countryside. Our Chefs can also provide a picnic, so you can make a full day of it. Contact our Reservations Team to learn more and make a reservation.
Walks
Formby and the surrounding countryside offers beautiful National Trust beaches and forest walks. Visit one of Britain’s last remaining Red Squirrel Sanctuaries. Our Concierge is on hand with maps and an insider knowledge.
Clay Pigeon Shooting & Archery
Take aim and improve your shot! A great experience for both Beginners, or Seasoned Experts. Our Team of Professionals are on hand for support and guidance.

Formby is only a short drive, or train ride from Liverpool. Renowned for its cultural heritage. Explore art at the Tate Liverpool, the city’s heritage at the Merseyside Maritime Museum, the spectacular Liverpool Cathedral, the early years of The Beatles, or visit Liverpool, or Everton Football Clubs. There is also the famous Anthony Gormley ‘Another Place’ Statues on nearby Crosby Beach. Our Concierge can share their Insider Knowledge and book tickets.
