Golf Membership FAQ's

Is there a club joining fee?

Yes, the Joining Fee is £2000.00 and must be paid upfront.

 

Can I pay monthly?

We continue to offer a monthly direct debit payment option on all golf memberships. This is direct with the resort and is charged at an extra 7.5%.

 

Can I play in competitions?

Depending on your competitive needs we offer a comprehensive fixture list of club competitions and social events. Our club competitions are WHS and fully CONGU compliant, handicaps can easily be transferred while new members without a current handicap can apply for one at their own pace once they feel comfortable playing the course.

 

How do I get a Handicap?

Once you are comfortable with your game you will need to submit a number of scorecards, which should be signed by another person that is acceptable at the club. This can be arranged with the Golf Shop team or the Handicap Committee.

You will need to submit sufficient cards to provide scores for 54 holes of golf, which must be 9-hole or 18-hole scores. Once you have submitted these scores, our Handicap Committee will give you a handicap.

 

If I don’t know anyone, how can I join up with other people?

This is a perfectly normal situation for any new member, so don’t let this put you off. We look to pair you up with like other like-minded members, which may be based on age, playing habits, interests. We also make sure that the Golf Club committee is aware of all new members and they will look to contact you to see if you need any help in settling in.

 

Can we play on both courses?

Yes, all Full Memberships include access to our 18 Hole Championship Old Course and our 9 Hole Woodhey Dunes Course.

 

How do I book a tee time as a Member?

Members are required to always book tee times. You can either call or walk into Golf Shop to book a tee time. Tee times for Weekend Competitions are accessed via our online tee booking system.

 

Do you have Member-only tee times?

Yes, Member, only tee times are up until 9 am Midweek and 12:30 pm on weekends. Any tee times after these times are subject to availability.

 

Can you bring guests?

Yes, Members can bring one guest up to six times per year. Guest fees are £27.50 midweek and £32.50 at weekends.

 

What do you receive in your Membership Pack?

In your Membership Pack, you receive a Membership Card, Bag Tag and Welcome Letter.

 

How can you gain access to the Leisure Facilities as a Golf Member?

You have the option of adding a Health Club Membership onto your Golf Membership if you would like to access our Leisure Facilities. As a Full Member, you receive discounted Health Club Membership for you and your spouse.
