Kids Tuition

Junior golf at the PGA Golf Academy comes set in an exciting and vibrant environment with lots of options for young golfers to try, develop and improve their skills in golf with a key philosophy of enjoyment and fun whilst learning this great game.

Golf is a great game for boys and girls of all ages and our PGA Golf Academy offers plenty of coaching options to suit all requirements.  There are group classes including both structured and ‘roll up’ formats, private lessons can be arranged which can be on an individual basis or private group classes can be arranged also.

The PGA Golf Academy runs alongside Young Masters Golf (YMG) and the ‘Golfers Passport’ where junior golfers are able to push their talents and work through accredited levels, these courses are run throughout the year at weekends, after school in term time and also as full coaching days during school breaks.

Lee Westwood Golf Camps

Lee Westwood is launching a brand new coaching initiative – Lee Westwood Golf Camps. Lee hopes that his name will encourage junior golfers to attend the three-day coaching camps which have been successfully trialed at his full-time schools in Cheshire and Essex.

The PGA Golf Academy at Formby Hall has been selected as a regional host venue for the 3 day coaching camps aimed at 7 – 16 year olds. Our PGA professionals will deliver the tuition following the structure set in place by Lee and his team. During the course of the Camp there will be a number of Skills Challenges which will create a national leaderboard. The top golfers at the end of the season will win a place at the Lee Westwood Golf Camps National Final, where the best performers from the Lee Westwood Golf Tour and Lee Westwood Golf Camps will compete. The overall winner of the Lee Westwood Golf Camps will get the opportunity to visit the Lee Westwood Golf School in Florida and, schedule permitting, the chance to meet Lee himself and maybe take him on for a few holes!

Lee has committed his team to driving junior golf forward in 2014 and with the three initiatives (Tour, Camps & School) he now spearheads, we are sure it will be a success. Lee said “I will be tracking the progress of the Camps Skills Test scores on the website, I will also be having a go at the Skills Test and posting a score myself!”
